Korarima is also known Ethiopian cuisine as false cardamom, or Ethiopian cardamom. While named similarly, it has a very different taste than green cardamom and is much closer to black cardamom which can be used as a replacement if necessary. It is common in both Niter Kibbeh and Berbere. 1
